Today I take a circular walk through a country park overlooking Cardigan BayWalking through Burry Port I come across a blue plaque for Amelia Earhart commemorating her landing when she was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic.
I entered Pembrey Country Park which boasts of golden sands, camping and caravanning, ski slope and wildlife trails. There were many people around enjoying themselves, but as I got further into the forest towards the headland, I felt like the only person out there. As I left the forest I heard the roar of engines racing and the continue squeal of brakes. Pembrey has a motor racing circuit, now the home of Welsh Moter Racing. The noise seemed quite close, but I could not see the circuit.
I did see an airfield though, probably used for light aircraft. Maybe it is used to fly in drivers and spectators on race day.I finished my walk in Kidwelly and made my way back to the car.
