Todays walk takes in the coastline either side of Bude.
The walk is a lot easier going as I walk away from Widemouth Bay between the sea and the road. Continue reading

Boscastle was waking up as I left the harbour. Lots of cottages and small businesses all ready for the spring and summer visitors.
Up onto Penally Point that guards the entrance to Boscastle harbour. After taking in the views back towards Boscastle and along the coast, I was on my way. Continue reading
What a difference a day makes. Port Isaac looked a lot different this morning with a hint of sunshine. Was the Doc at home? With a chain link fence across the front of the house, I guess there’s no surgery today.
Right next door to Port Isaac is Port Gaverne with a few boats and a beach. A few pictures then up onto the grassy clad cliffs. Continue reading
A shorter walk today. One because it was raining and second I had to make this walk circular to get back to my car as it was Sunday and there was no buses.
From Polzeath I follow the coastal path past all the guest houses and B & B’s to New Polzeath with its sandy beach. As it was raining and windy I didn’t linger long. Booby’s Bay joins up with Constantine Bay where at low tide you can see the remains of a shipwreck. When you first see it you think they are groynes but on second glance it looks like a giant ribcage opened up. Continue reading
After 5 days of bright spring like weather, today I was greeted with rain, the wet drizzly driving stuff that goes right through you.
After entombing myself in all my wet weather clobber, I set off out of Newquay only to be overtaken by someone in a wetsuit and a surfboard. I thought he was keen for 9:00 in the morning. Continue reading
Sandy beaches as far as the eye can see. A good start to the days walk is a long leg stretcher along Perran Sands. We say goodbye to the lovely little cornish coastal resort and Saint Peran, the patron saint of Cornwall.
Todays walk ending up being a circular walk due to lack of public transport to get me back to my car. So I parked at St. Agnes and walked to Porthtowan to start my walk.
Today starts with a long vista of sandy beach and sand dunes.
A new day brought a lovely crisp, bright, spring like day. I was fully recovered from yesterday for a walk from the rugged cliffs of miners into the playground of artists.
Life in the slow lane
Mad dogs and Englishmen decide to walk the coast of Britain! I don't think I'm a mad dog but many think I'm a mad Englishman!
